First pitched by Stan Lee back in 1962, Spider-Man broke the comics mold and the hero has achieved legends status in the decades that have passed since. The artwork of co-creator and artist Steve Ditko is presented without recoloring by Taschen in order to represent the imagery as it would have appeared when originally published in the early '60s and the book – produced in close collaboration with Marvel and the Certified Guaranty Company – features three different paper stocks created exclusively for this edition. Including an introduction by collector David Mandel as well as rare photographs and original art, this special volume is the ultimate celebration of the teen superhero.
