In the run-up to the release of Black Axe Mangal's first cookbook, the restaurant challenged its Instagram followers to digitally edit the hardback into the most bizarre, unusual scenes they could think of – an indication of the London hotspot's quirky vibe and what to expect from its tome. Originally founded as a pop-up in Copenhagen, the eatery is known for unusual dishes like Prune Doughnuts and Squid Ink Flatbreads, and its three cooking principles: bread, smoking and grilling. Inside this Phaidon publication is countless recipes, alongside mouth-watering images and general kitchen advice.
