This Chronomat is one of a recent limited edition of stunning GMT watches made by Breitling. The model is impressively large and masculine, with a basic case size of some 47mm, a rugged, bulky bezel and lavish use of the company's patented “Black Steel”, which uses a carbon-based coating for extreme scratch resistance and awesome aesthetic effect. Inside we find the remarkable in-house B04 movement, an upgrade to the brand's first chronograph calibre (the B01) that adds a second timezone. The engineering is quite astonishing, and the functionality is such that the wearer can adjust “home” time by simply pulling out the crown and turning in either direction in convenient one hour increments.
