Japan Best - Painted Papier-Mâché Daruma Set

A practice since the Edo period, it's customary to paint in one pupil on your Daruma doll to make a wish and the other when it comes true. This modern and streamlined set of three from Japan Best has been handmade in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, and each painted with the Japanese proverb, “fall down seven times, get up eight" on the sides.
