Equally famous for his beautiful writing as he is for his extraordinary pilot's career, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a legendary early twentieth century Frenchman and aristocrat. He disappeared in mysterious circumstances during a reconnaissance mission in 1944, but not before playing a vital role in both civilian and military aviation and penning several literary masterpieces, the most celebrated of which is “Le Petit Prince”. To pay homage to this great poet and humanist, IWC has made several commemorative special editions in his honour. This is a particularly fine limited edition Pilot's Chronograph in rose gold, and the caseback is engraved with Saint-Exupéry's aircraft.
