mastermind JAPAN was founded in 1997 by Masaaki Homma, who spent years working for Yohji Yamamoto before starting his own label. Its skull and crossbones logo, which Homma redrew more than 1,000 times before settling on it, runs through luxury menswear made in Japan. Homma stopped seasonal deliveries in 2013, then revived the label in 2017 alongside a new line, mastermind WORLD.
