Hender Scheme

Ryo Kashiwazaki, a former philosophy student who learned leathercraft from Tokyo's shokunin, founded Hender Scheme in 2010 to make things beyond the expectations of gender. The label is best known for its Manual Industrial Products, hand-sewn remakes of famous sneakers such as the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan IV in natural vegetable-tanned leather that darkens and softens with wear, made in its Asakusa workshop alongside bags, belts and small leather goods.
