Engineered Garments

New York United States

2002

Built from the childhood exposed to nature and sport, Engineered Garments founder Daiki Suzuki imbibes the rugged experience of growing up in Hirosaki City with the classic American aesthetic found in outdoor garb, sportswear, and even military clothing. From magazines like POPEYE to the Ivy League heritage, it seemed as if American culture and fashion met Suzuki at every turn, steering him in the direction of fashion as a career. And, as time is wont to do, the love the public had for the silhouette of American workwear started to wane, and propelled Suzuki into creating clothes he wanted to see, wanted to have. Engineered Garments is all about building and constructing the classic piece, reverent to the American aesthetic that is made in NYC, reminiscent of all of the things that Suzuki found to love.
