Devá States is a men's streetwear brand launched in Indonesia in 2015. It has expanded worldwide, and features a mix of Jakarta street style, typography and dystopian sci-fi themes. The brand's name, "Devá" meaning divine or anything of excellence in Sanskrit, pays homage to the designers' heritage. The collection features a variety of references, including punk rock, horror movies, and the traditional Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty of imperfection. The designs reimagine classic wardrobe staples like cotton jersey shirts and track pants with bold, bright text and graphics, resulting in a unique look.
