Bedwin & The Heartbreakers

Tokyo Japan

2003

Following a peculiar interest in vintage American sensibilities, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers was founded and designed by Masafumi “Bebetan” Watanabe in 2003. Drawing inspiration from classic American menswear found in the 20's and 30's, and reinterpreting it through the lens of Japanese tradition, Bedwin is a cross between Western style and Eastern sensibility. Watanabe's design aesthetic plays with classic American patterns while injecting it with undeniable Japanese quality, going further by incorporating streetwear into the label's catalogue. With a collaboration with Vans and a flurry of big names—like hit TV show Stranger Things and rapper G-Eazy—there's no shortage to Bedwin's creative output.
