Born and bred in Southern California, Noon Goons marries surf, skate, and punk at the hands of founder Kurt Narmore. Growing up in his fathers skateboard and snowboard manufacturing factory, Narmore's cultural diet was a heavy mix of punk music, shredding, and waves. So imbedded into Narmore's makeup is the Southern Cali culture that the term "noon goon" in fact takes from a derogatory expression used to call people who crowd the beaches at noon, when all the surfers have left the shore. Despite the term being a rookie mistake in the surfing world, Noon Goon proves to use it not as a crutch but as an asset, encapsulating the LA style that has ingrained itself into Narmore's DNA.
