Levi's Vintage Clothing is Levi Strauss & Co.'s reproduction line, set up in earnest in 1996 to remake pieces from the company's San Francisco archive, which reaches back to the first riveted jeans of 1873. Each collection revisits particular years and models, such as the 1947 501 jean or the 1936 Type I jacket, down to the cut, the hardware and the selvedge denim, alongside workwear and westernwear drawn from the same vaults.
