Ralph Lauren launched Purple Label in the mid-1990s as the top tier of his menswear, an American answer to Savile Row and to Italy's great tailoring houses. Its suits and sport coats are made in Italy, and the collection runs from made-to-measure tailoring to cashmere knitwear, leather outerwear and polished weekend clothes.
