Materiel Tbilisi

Matériel grew out of Fashion House Materia, a Tbilisi clothing manufacturer founded in the Soviet era, when Maia Gogiberidze reshaped the company into a label meant to give young Georgian designers room to develop. Made in Tbilisi, its womenswear pairs structured tailoring with feminine lines: oversized blazers, quilted coats, pleated trousers and sharply cut dresses. A team of in-house designers now leads the collections, and Matériel has become one of the best-known names of the new Georgian fashion scene.
