Reverse Weave is Champion's heavyweight sweatshirt construction, patented in 1938 and again in 1952. To stop sweatshirts shrinking in length, the fabric is turned 90 degrees and cut on the cross grain, with side panels for movement and ribbed collars, cuffs and waistbands. The line keeps the cut in production in hoodies, crewnecks and sweatpants that grew from American college athletics into a streetwear staple.
